Föhl proves that even an energy-intensive company like a foundry for zinc die casting can be climate-neutral:
We have set ourselves the objective of continuously reducing our carbon footprint as well as our waste and energy volumes to the greatest possible extent, and we endeavor to replace pollutants used in production wherever possible. In doing so, we aim to continuously increase energy efficiency.
This voluntary certification involves an assessment of all material balances at our production sites. Each individual site is validated by an independent environmental auditor, who decides on the degree to which we achieve our self-imposed environmental targets and publishes these in an environmental statement.

Föhl stands for quality in zinc die casting. You can find this quality in each and every one of the approx. 490,000,000 zinc die cast parts, that we manufacture each year in our plants in Germany and China. We ensure we can fulfill this quality promise through our quality management system.

Mission statement
Föhl established the area of Company social management in 2008. Our social management policy includes advising managers and individual employees, as well as preventative measures. With this policy, we want to promote and continuously optimize the motivation, health and well-being of our employees.
By using the latest technologies and self-teaching systems, we are striving for an intelligent foundry. Together with a development partner, Föhl has extensively tested the first Apps in productive use and these have already been in use since summer 2019. We will increase plant availability through networking machines and using artificial intelligence, as well as solutions for Total Productive Maintenance, and will stabilize and optimize our processes by analyzing the data.
In the administrative areas, Föhl is also working on the optimization of the processes by using digital solutions. Some activities in our systems will be automated by the use of software robots. This will allow our teams to network and to successfully realize global projects on a common platform.
