Groundbreaking ceremony for the Michelau plant expansion

We are very proud to announce that the groundbreaking ceremony for the Michelau expansion was held on August 14th, 2024. This symbolic ceremony marks the “start of something big,” as Anna Petermann, Spokesperson for the Föhl Advisory Board, put it.

Dr. Frank Kirkorowicz (Föhl Managing Partner) kicked off the event by welcoming the invited guests, and spoke in his opening address of the bold step the company is taking to give molds a new home. He also emphasized how this construction will help us improve the company’s efficiency. Furthermore, he noted the company’s commitment to manufacturing in Germany, despite difficulties associated with different wars and crises. He then thanked internal employees who had committed so much time and energy to make this groundbreaking possible while planning the expansion.

Anna Petermann, the oldest daughter of the Kirkorowicz family, spoke next on behalf of the Advisory Board. She emphasized how committed Advisory Board members are to Föhl and expressed their happiness about the expansion. She also spoke about the “heart” of Föhl – namely, the company’s employees, who make Föhl what it is.
