“Innovation for the future”: Our Föhl Technology Day was held for the fourth time in Taicang (China) under this slogan. More than 100 participants from the automotive, domestic appliance, electronics, fittings and industry branches accepted our invitation. Internal and external speakers enhanced the event with their presentation – for example on the possibilities for increasing productivity and efficiency. Experience reports from our customers and examples of the design optimization or prevention of quality costs by agreeing critical features completed the program.

The hot channel technology for zinc die-casting, which was presented in Taicang for the first time, was particularly interesting for all our guests. Another highlight was the presentation by the Deputy Mayor of Taicang of the award as “Especially innovative company”. We also want to live up to this praise going forward and will continue to work on transferring new technologies, such as passivation of zinc die-cast parts with nanotechnology into series production.

During tours of our plant, the participants were able to immerse themselves on-site in the world of zinc die-casting and see the company building that was completed in 2015. With a total area of 15,000 square meters and now 18 zinc die-casting hot chamber machines, we are very well placed in Taicang for the continued strongly growing Asian market.
