TRENDS AND CHALLENGES
On April 25, 2019, about 100 representatives of 30 customers and 100 Föhl employees once again participated in Föhl’s annual Technology Day in Taicang/China.
The key themes included technological trends and developments, implementing digitization, smart factory management, as well as the challenges and possible strategies revolving around the subject “People at the center of digitization – VUCA World”.
Jochen Kirkorowicz, CEO Föhl China, opened the event.. “More than 5 million parts are produced daily in our factories. Most of them are used in life-saving systems, such as seat belts, steering systems and airbags – there is virtually no automotive that does not have a Föhl product inside it.
Dr. Frank Kirkorowicz, President of the Föhl Group, referred to the “VUCA” concept in his “The Wind of Change” presentation. “The future holds many new opportunities for us. When we recognize this and take advantage of them, we will be able to shape a successful future together.”
The participants were impressed by the extensive technical presentation on Föhl’s hot runner and new coating technology Föhlan. These successful innovations are already being utilized in Germany and China.
Another interesting part of the 2019 Technology Day was definitely the live presentation of Föhl’s digitization, which Föhl is currently working on together with IndustryApps.
Rolf Knoerzer, Co-Founder of IndustryApps, presented detailed information about the development stage of the smart factory and the ongoing optimization of Föhl’s industry 4.0 projects.
During the discussion and sharing of experiences, it became very clear that our customers generate many advantages when they integrate Föhl’s know-how into product development design from an early stage.
At the end of the Technology Day, one thing was very clear: Föhl’s innovation, quality, reliable on-time delivery and world-class customer service, are highly appreciated and a good basis for future business collaborations.
