The current state of technology for monitoring and steering production processes is to work with statistical methods. In addition, the standard ISO TS 16949 requires knowledge of basic statistical terms.
At a one-day seminar, Föhl employees learned how to identify the special features, to monitor them in the process and to understand them using control charts. Interpreting quality control cards in order to optimize processes was discussed descriptively here. The knowledge gained was reinforced through practical exercises.
The employees were supported by Dr.-Ing. Alexander Schloske from the Fraunhofer IPA Institute Stuttgart.
